     Henry was born on 16 April 1856 in Kanyaka, South Australia.1

On 15 January 1883 William was a witness at the Marriage of William Thomas Alchin and Annie Margaret Talbot in Wirrabara, South Australia.2

To my knowledge, Henry wasand were never married.3

He died on 5 October 1943, of senility, in Crystal Brook, South Australia, aged 87.4

Henry was buried on 6 October 1943 in the Crystal Brook Cemetery, Crystal Brook, South Australia.5

Life Events

     Jane Elizabeth Talbot was born on 15 February 1859 in Melrose, South Australia, daughter of Henry Talbot and Susannah Hobbs.

On 10 October 1878, Jane, aged 19, married Stephen Richard Couzner, aged 21, son of Stephan Couzner and Martha Nobbs, in the residence of the bride's parents in Appila, South Australia. The officiating minister was Wesleyan minister, Reverend Thomas Edmeades. Witnesses were Sara Smith and Philip Smallacombe, both of Appila.1

On 16 October 1928 Jane and Stephen celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary, at home, with their family (see newspaper report from "The Advertiser")
A GOLDEN WEDDING AT JAMESTOWN.


     Two well known residents of Jamestown, Mr. and Mrs Stephen Couzner, celebrated their golden wedding at their residence, 'Moyletown.' Jamestown, on Wednesday. They were married by the Rev. Thomas Edmeads. Wesleyan minister, at Appila, on October 10, 1878. Mr. Couzner was born at Sandy Creek, near Gawler, in 1856. and Mrs. Couzner (nee Miss Jane Talbot) was born at Melrose in 1858.
     A large family gathering, including all the sons and daughters assembled. The supper tables were prettily decorated and arranged. A large wedding cake graced the principal table. The toast of the 'happy couple'' was proposed by Mr. T. Clarke (son-in-law). who expressed the best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Couzner, sen., and trusted that there were many more years before them in which to enjoy life together. The toast was supported by Messrs. W. Rosser. W. A. Campbell. A. E. Couzner, and W. Hardacre. Mr. P. C. Couzner presented Mr. Couzerr with an inscribed wallet containing notes on behalf of the sons, and Miss D. Williams, on behalf of the daughters, presented Mrs. Couzner with a pretty handbag. On behalf of the grandchildren Master Fred Rosser and Mrs. J. L. Dunn presented tbem with a gold-trimmed embroided quilt, Mr. and Mrs. Couzner both responded. The pleasant evening was terminated with 'For they are jolly good fellows.'
     Those present were Messrs. F., G., W., P C. Couzner (James- town) A C Couzner (Port Pirie). and J. Couzner (Spalding), Mesdames W. Rosser, J. Rosser, D. Williams (Jamestown). W. Hardacre (Port Pirie) T. Clarke (Salisbury). There are 48 grandchildrcn and 12 great-grandchildren.2
On 21 March 1935she died, at home, in Jamestown, South Australia, aged 76, after suffering from carcinoma of the stomach for two years and deposition in the liver, for six months.3

Jane was buried in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, South Australia, in plot DG27.4

Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Couzner, wife of Mr. Stephen B. Couzner, who died at Jamestown on March 21, was bom at Melrose, S.A., on February 15, 1859. The second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Talbot, (sic) (recte Henry Talbot) she received her education at the Wirrabara School. She was married in 1878 to Mr. Couzner at Appila Yarrowie, and they lived at Appila until 1884, when they removed to Jamestown; in 1894 they went to Black Rock Plains, and four years later they went on land at Bundaleer, near Washpool, until 1905. After that they were on other farms in the district, until about 20 years ago. when they went to Jamestown to reside.
A family of six sons and five daughters survive. Messrs George, Fred, William, Cyril (Jamestown), James (Spalding). Charles (Port Pirie), and Mesdames W. Rosser (Port Pine), Hardacre (Port Pirie), Jas. Rosser (Jamestown), T. Clerk (Salisbury), D. Williams (Jamestown). There are 48 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.5

     George Talbot was born on 31 May 1862 in Wirrabara, South Australia, son of Henry Talbot and Susannah Hobbs.

He worked on sheep stations for most of his life, much of on properties owned by the Bowman Brosthers.

On 25 November 1888, George, aged 26, married Annie Faggotter, aged 20, daughter of Charles Fellows Faggotter and Jane Hobbs, residence of Henry Talbot in Jamestown, South Australia. The minister was John Gillingham and the witnesses were John Talbot, labourer of Jamestown, brother of the groom and Emily Faggotter, the bride's sister, from Hallett.
George and Annie were first cousins.1,2

He died on 11 May 1927of heart failure.
He was a station manager., in Jamestown, South Australia, aged 64.3

George was buried on 12 May 1927 in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, South Australia, by Reverend Pearce, plot DL25.4

     Elizabeth Talbot was born on 9 March 1864 in Wirrabara, South Australia, daughter of Henry Talbot and Susannah Hobbs.

On 14 August 1879, Elizabeth, aged 15, married Edward Dansie, son of Henry Dansie, in the residence of Mr. Talbot in Appila, South Australia. The witnesses were Stephen Couzner and Jane Moore. The officiating minister was Reverend W. H. Rofe.1

She died of valvular disease of the heart, cardiac apoplexy and auricular fibrillation, on 11 March 1930 in Wirrabara, South Australia, aged 66. The informant was her son, H. Dansie.2

Elizabeth was buried on 14 March 1930 in the Wirrabara Cemetery, Wirrabara, South Australia.3

     Annie Margaret Talbot was born on 31 October 1865 in Wirrabara, South Australia, daughter of Henry Talbot and Susannah Hobbs.

On 15 January 1883, Annie, aged 17, married William Thomas Alchin, aged 21, son of Anthony Alchin and Elizabeth Parker, in the the residence of Mrs. Dansie in Wirrabara, South Australia. The witnesses were Henry Talbot and Edward Dansie.1

     She died on Tuesday, 2 August 1938, aged 72 years, 9 months and 2 days, in her home in, Jamestown, South Australia, of myocardial failure.2

     Annie was buried on 6 August 1938 in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, South Australia, by Reverend White, plot BH 02.3

On 14 August 1890, John, aged 22, married Ann King, aged 17, daughter of Henry King, in the residence of Henry Talbot in Jamestown, South Australia. The officiating minister was Reverend Fraser and the witnesses were John's brother Alfred, farmer of Gladstone and Lizzie G?? or C??, servant from Burra.1

He died on Thursday, 1 August 1935, aged 67 years, 3 months and 25 days, in Adelaide, South Australia, from carcinoma of the colon & peritonitis. Before becoming ill he had been living in Morgan.2
