William Edward Mark Dansie was born on 6 October 1898 in Wirrabara Forest, South Australia, son of Edward Dansie and Elizabeth Talbot. On 22 February 1922, William, aged 23, married Eva Madge Talbot, aged 25, daughter of John Talbot and Ann King, in Methodist Church in Mount Bryan East, South Australia.1
From the "Burra Record", 15 March 1922[:ITAL
On February 22, at the Methodist Church, Mount Bryan East, a pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. V. H. Goldney, when Eva Madge, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot, 'Carola,' Hallett, was married to William Edward Mark, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Dansie, Wirrabara.
The church was prettily and appropriately decorated for the occasion, and suspended from an arch over the bridal party were tiny pink and white wedding bells.
The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful dress of ivory crepe de chene, with long court train falling from the shoulders and wearing the usual bridal veil fastened, with a spray of orange blossoms, and a gold brooch, the bridegroom's gift. A beautiful shower bouquet completed her outfit. Preceding her down the aisle was a 'guardian angel' (Master Stanley Faggoter) dressed in white silk and carrying a silver star.
She was also attended by little Misses Mavis Gare and Stella Pohlner, as train-bearers, both dressed in dainty frocks of creme net over pink silk.
Her two bridesmaids, Misses E. Faggoter and D. Dansie, were dressed alike in pretty white silk dresses, trimmed in pale blue buttons, and carried bouquets of white flowers. They also wore a gold chain and pin, the gift of the bridegroom.
Mr. Ivan Gare was best man, and Mr. Wilfred Talbot, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman. Miss Grace Honan presided at the organ, and at the conclusion played the 'Wedding March.''
After the ceremony the bridal party was motored to the residence of the bride's parents by Mr. August Pohlner, where a number of guests partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast, when the usual toasts were honoured.
Later the happy couple left for their future home, Mrs. E. Dansie wearing a travelling dress of mauve serge trimmed with blue hat to match.
Many useful presents were received, including a number of cheques.2

A brief biography from Elizabeth Alchin
Anthony was born in either 1829 or 1834 (different dates provided by two descendants). He migrated to South Australia aboard the vessel "Duke of Portland" arriving at Port Adelaide from London on 3rd August 1850 (he travelled in steerage class).
Anthony married Elizabeth Parker at St Barnabas' church, Clare, on 2nd December 1856 (SA 1856 Book 28 Page 412). The ceremony was conducted by Rev'd William Wood and one of the witnesses was an innkeeper of Clare. At the time of their marriage both the bride and groom were residents of Mount Remarkable. Elizabeth was born at Currie Street, Adelaide on 10th April 1842, daughter of James Parker and Elizabeth Mepham (she was from Goudhurst in Kent). Elizabeth was baptised at Trinity church, Adelaide on 6th May 1842.
Anthony and Elizabeth had five children - Ann (1858), Charlotte (1859), Albert (1860), William (1861) and Anthony (1863). The two eldest children were born at Clare, the third child at Bundaleer and the two youngest at Hahndorf. Like most of his kinsmen, Anthony was a carpenter and he moved around a fair bit in search of work. Anthony finally settled his family at Paratoo near Burra although later branches of the family settled mainly around Jamestown.
Anthony died of heart disease at Aberdeen, District of Burra on 3rd May 1876 (aged 47 years according to the SA BDM index and 42 years according to his death certificate and the burial register). At the time of his death Anthony is recorded as a labourer of Paratoo. He was buried at Burra Cemetery, grave 234 on 4th May 1876 (SA 1876 Book 73 Page 204). Elizabeth died of typhoid fever at Aberdeen less than two weeks later on 14th May 1876 (SA 1876 Book 73 Page 234). Her death was reported by her brother-in-law Edwin Myers, a coach driver of Aberdeen. Elizabeth was buried at Burra on 15th May 1876 aged 35 years.
