From the "Burra Record", 15 March 1922[:ITAL
On February 22, at the Methodist Church, Mount Bryan East, a pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. V. H. Goldney, when Eva Madge, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot, 'Carola,' Hallett, was married to William Edward Mark, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Dansie, Wirrabara.
The church was prettily and appropriately decorated for the occasion, and suspended from an arch over the bridal party were tiny pink and white wedding bells.
The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful dress of ivory crepe de chene, with long court train falling from the shoulders and wearing the usual bridal veil fastened, with a spray of orange blossoms, and a gold brooch, the bridegroom's gift. A beautiful shower bouquet completed her outfit. Preceding her down the aisle was a 'guardian angel' (Master Stanley Faggoter) dressed in white silk and carrying a silver star.
She was also attended by little Misses Mavis Gare and Stella Pohlner, as train-bearers, both dressed in dainty frocks of creme net over pink silk.
Her two bridesmaids, Misses E. Faggoter and D. Dansie, were dressed alike in pretty white silk dresses, trimmed in pale blue buttons, and carried bouquets of white flowers. They also wore a gold chain and pin, the gift of the bridegroom.
Mr. Ivan Gare was best man, and Mr. Wilfred Talbot, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman. Miss Grace Honan presided at the organ, and at the conclusion played the 'Wedding March.''
After the ceremony the bridal party was motored to the residence of the bride's parents by Mr. August Pohlner, where a number of guests partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast, when the usual toasts were honoured.
Later the happy couple left for their future home, Mrs. E. Dansie wearing a travelling dress of mauve serge trimmed with blue hat to match.
Many useful presents were received, including a number of cheques.2
