     Thomas Gerald McEwen was born on 26 December 1906 in Port Lincoln, South Australia, son of Timothy Augustine McEwen and Catherine Monica Fitzgerald.¹

On 30 May 1928, Thomas, aged 21, married Ellen Margaret Brady, aged 18, daughter of Patrick Brady and Rose Ann O'Connell, in St Anacletus Church in Peterborough, South Australia.²

He died in 1972, aged 65 years, in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia.³

Life Events

     Kevin Maurice McEwen was born on 23 September 1922 in Loxton, South Australia, son of Timothy Augustine McEwen and Catherine Monica Fitzgerald.¹

Kevin began military service on 21 October 1940 in Paddington, New South Wales, Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Army. His service number was N99048. He was discharged, on 20 October 1941, when he was a Private in the Darwin Infantry Battalion.
The next day he joined the 2/14 Field Regiment. His number was then NX48949. He was discharge from that regiment on 5 December 1945.²

He died on Saturday, 15 November 2003, aged 81 years, 1 month and 23 days, in Rostrevor, South Australia,³ and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, on 20 November 2003.³

On 14 September 1925, Thelma, aged 17, married John Henry Clarence Alchin, aged 22, son of William Thomas Alchin and Annie Margaret Talbot, in Manse in Murray Bridge, South Australia.^1,2

She was widowed when her husband died on 01 Feb 1927.²

On 3 August 1929, Thelma, aged 20, married William Ernest Jury, in Church of Christ in Murray Bridge, South Australia.³

     Emma Maria Everett was born on 18 September 1822 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, daughter of William Everett and Maria Boby.¹

On 18 September 1853, Emma, aged 31, married William Puplett, son of Benjamin Puplett and Hannah Wood, in St Margaret's in Islington, Middlesex, England.^1,3

Emma accompanied her parents William Everett on their Emigration from Port Philip Bay, Victoria, Australia, to South Australia on 21 May 1855.⁴

She died on 13 December 1913, at home in Tynte Street, North Adelaide, South Australia, aged 91 years, 2 months and 25 days, from cancer of the liver.⁵

Emma was buried on 14 December 1913 in the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide, South Australia, in the Quakers section, Row 1, Site 101.⁶

     Sarah Ellen Mary Hearn was born on 22 August 1873 in Flaxman Valley, South Australia, daughter of Andrew Richard Hearn and Cecilia Vosper Brandon.¹

On 3 August 1899, Sarah, aged 25, married John Truan, aged 28, son of William Truan and Emma Villis, in the residence of A R Hearne in Kingston, South Australia.²

She died on Thursday, 13 January 1966, aged 92 years, 4 months and 22 days.³

     Jessie Eda Mary Slee was born on 9 June 1900 in Hundred of Willochra near, Wilmington, South Australia, daughter of Thomas Slee and Eda Elizabeth Brandon.¹

She died on Tuesday, 15 October 1912, aged 12 years, 4 months and 6 days, in Pinda, South Australia.²

     Maud Emily Yeates was born about 1887.

On 7 May 1921, Maud, married Frederick Samuel Slee, aged 28, son of Thomas Slee and Eda Elizabeth Brandon, in Methodist Church in Brighton, South Australia.¹

She died on Friday, 28 January 1955, in Fullarton, South Australia, She had been living in Highgate before going to hospital.²
