From the "Eyre Peninsula Tribune", 18th March1927
Death of Mrs R. Ware.

The death occurred in Adelaide on Saturday night of Mrs Rosina Ware, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Frankin Harbour.
Mrs Ware, who had heen ill for some considerable time, was 85 years of age. She came to the Franklin Harbour district in 1880, and, with her husband, the late Mr G L Ware, established a general storekeeping business. Cowell, in those days was unheard of, and the district was known as Franklin Harbour. There was no sign of a town and a track led through the scrub from the landing and wool shed, where the Frankiin Harbour Hotel now stands, to the outback country.
Mr and Mrs Ware were sturdy pioneers and in later years when more settlement took place, befriended many settlers who were struggling against adverse circumstances. The name today is a household word in the district and many are now residing in comfort, wbo have to thank the pioneer storekeepers for their successes.5
