     Archibald Fisher Maxwell Jaffrey was born on 12 November 1890 in Quorn, South Australia, son of Archibald Maxwell Jaffrey and Elizabeth Susan Fisher.

On 29 August 1927, Archibald, aged 36, married Nina Emmaline Stirling, aged 39, daughter of Edward Charles Stirling and Jane Gilbert, in Church of the Epiphany in Crafers, South Australia.
A report of the wedding was in "The Advertiser" 31 August 1927 He died on Saturday, 11 September 1971, aged 80 years, 9 months and 30 days, in North Adelaide, South Australia, Prior to his death he lived in Medindie² and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, on 14 September 1971.³

     Gertrude Annie Fisher was born on 6 September 1864 in Kadina, South Australia, daughter of William Fisher and Anne Isabel Edmonds.

On 26 August 1876 Gertrude arrived in Palmerston on board 'Claude Hamilton':- from the Northern Territory Times & Gazette;
"Mrs. Fisher and two daughters in the cabin; Mr Roche and Miss Lane in the steerage."¹

On 18 August 1885 she was a witness at the Marriage of Archibald Maxwell Jaffrey and Elizabeth Susan Fisher in Christ Church, Kapunda, South Australia.²

In 1896, Gertrude, aged 31 years, married John Ellis Clayton Morris, in Geraldton, Western Australia.³

In 1903 she was a housewife and her husband was an accountant and they were living in Collie, Western Australia.⁴

In 1910 she was the Postmistress in Mandurah, Western Australia,⁵. But by 1916 she was the Postmistress in Mandurah, Western Australia and her husband was farming in the area. By 1925 they were both in the Post Office with John named as Postmaster.⁴

She died in 1926, aged 61 years, in Mandurah, Western Australia.³

     John Harvey Perry was born on 15 December 1853 in Noarlunga, South Australia, son of John Harvey Perry and Priscilla Browett.¹

About 1888, John, married Jane Ann Bell, daughter of Robert Bell and Mary Ann Moses, in Bell Family Farm in Daylesford, Victoria, Australia.¹

He died on Sunday, 7 April 1935, aged 81 years, 3 months and 23 days, in Coburg, Victoria, Australia.¹

     James Puplett was born on 2 May 1815 in Great Bardfield, Essex, England, son of Daniel Puplett and Ann Heald.¹

About 1835 in Reading, Berkshire, England, James was an apprentice baker and confectioner. The cost to his father to purchase the apprenticeship was £35/0/0.²

It would appear that, at some time shortly after his apprenticeship, he and his future father-in-law went into partnership, because on on Saturday, 9 November 1839, in the "Berkshire Chronicle" this notice appeared: On 30 January 1840 James aged 24, married Lucy Perry, aged 20, daughter of Thomas Perry and Elizabeth Harvey, in the Friends Meeting House, Reading, Berkshire, England, according to the Usage of the Society of Friends. The witnesses were Ephraim Fardon, Reading, Baker and John Tyler, Reading, Umbrella Maker.⁴

It appears James was having finacial problems because, on Saturday, 5 December 1840, in the "Berkshire Chronicle", the following notice appeared; On 26 December 1840 he he had another notice in the same paper recommending to his past customers that he "respecfully recommends HENRY HOBBS to them, as able to supply them with goods of like quality to those he furnished himself".
Henry Hobbs advertised himself as a Biscuit Manufacturer, Pastry Cook, and Confectioner and had a shop at 102 Broad-street, a couple of blocks from James' late establishment.³

On 17 July 1841 the solicitor handling his creditors had a notice that those "who have executed the trust deed, may receive a Dividend of Four Shillings in the Pound on their respective debts, on application..."³

In 1848 James and Lucy were living at Corn Market Street, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.⁵

James, age 35, appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 in West Derby, Lancashire, England, as Head, age 34, Occupation Grocer.
Others present were his wife Lucy 30, occupation Milliner and daughter Kate, 2.⁶

James and Lucy Perry emigrated in December 1854 from London, England, to South Australia on board the Duke of Wellington, arriving in Port Adelaide on 18th April, 1855, together with their daughters Elizabeth Kate and Mary Louisa.⁵

On 23 January 1862 he was elected as the foreman of a jury at an inquest into the death of a 5-week old infant. After hearing evidence from the parents and a doctor, the jury returned a verdict of "Died by the visitation of God." in Kooringa, South Australia.⁵

On 28 January 1874 James Puplett witnessed the Marriage of his daughter, Mary Louisa, and John Hinton Edmonds in St Augustine Church, Virginia, South Australia. He was a baker of Virginia.⁷

He died on 4 June 1887 in Virginia, South Australia, aged 72, of diarrhea and exhaustion. The informing relative was A. Perry, nephew, of Tynte St., North Adelaide.^8,9

     Lucy Perry was born on 26 September 1819 in St Giles parish, Reading, Berkshire, England, daughter of Thomas Perry and Elizabeth Harvey.¹

On 4 June 1887, Lucy aged 67, was widowed when her husband James died in Virginia.⁵

About February 1891 Lucy moved to Albany, Western Australia to live with her grand-daughters, Ethel and Lucy Ridgway.⁶

She died on Saturday, 26 August 1899, aged 79 years and 11 months, in Osnaburg Street, Albany, Western Australia, of Morbis Cordis. Her doctor had been T. H. Robinson and he had last visited her on 24th August.⁶

She was buried by D.H. Giffith in the Church of England Cemetery, Albany, Western Australia, on Monday, 28 August 1899.⁶

     Elizabeth Kate Puplett was born on 5 January 1849 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, daughter of James Puplett and Lucy Perry.

She appeared on the census on 30 March 1851, in the household of James Puplett in West Derby, Lancashire, England, daughter, age 2.¹

Elizabeth Kate Puplett accompanied her parents James and Lucy on their Emigration from London, England, to South Australia in December 1854.²

On 25 September 1872 Elizabeth, aged 23, married William Ridgway, son of Charles Ridgway, in the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Virginia, South Australia. The minister was Reverend W. Scott of Salisbury; the witnesses were William's brother George, a butcher from Smithfield and (indecipherable), a farmer of Gawler River.³

On 4 October 1888 Elizabeth was a saleswoman. *(from John H. Edmonds will, the signing of which she was a witness.)

On 22 November 1888 Elizabeth was widowed when William died at the aged of 42.⁴

She died on Thursday, 7 July 1938, aged 89 years, 6 months and 2 days, in the Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia, of broncho-pneumonia and cerebral thrombosis. She had been living in Norwood, SA.⁴

In 1872 he he was a Hotel Keeper, as stated on his marriage certificate.²
