     John Ellis Clayton Morris was born about March 1861 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.2

In 1896, John, married Gertrude Annie Fisher, aged 31 years, daughter of William Fisher and Anne Isabel Edmonds, in Geraldton, Western Australia.1

In 1903 he was an accountant in Collie, Western Australia,3 By 1916 he was a farmer in Mandurah, Western Australia and his wife was the Mandurah Postmistress. By 1925 they were both in the Mandurah Post Office, with john as Postmaster.3

He died in 1937, in Mandurah, Western Australia.1
