     A pretty wedding was solemnised at Kapunda Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 18, when Eunice M., only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Oates of Kapunda (late of Burra) were joined in wedlock to Harvey A., elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Shearer, of Adelaide. The Rev. Gordon Rowe conducted the ceremony.
     The church was suitably decorated with dainty arches of fern and bowls of flowers toning with the frocking of the bridesmaid. Mrs. Turner played the Wedding music.
     The bride who was given away by her brother (Mr. Rupert Oates of Adelaide), was frocked in a charming gown of ivory triple georgette relieved with silver lace the fineness of cob web texture. A beautiful ivory tulle veil, lent by the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Horace Oates, enshrouded the lithe form of the bride, veiling the face and falling below the hem of the dainty frock. She carried a handsome bouquet of choice white flowers tied with narrow ivory streamers and tiny silver horse-shoes, silver shoes completed her toilette.The only ornament worn by the bride was her engagement ring appended to a gold chain.
     The only bridesmaid, Miss Emily Flower, of Burra, was a dainty figure in atmosphere crepe de chene with which was worn a smart hat of sun-blush fancy hemp finished with a large flower at the right side to tone with her frock. She wore the bride-groom's gift, a handsome necklace of pearls, and carried a bouquet of pale pink roses, carnations and mauve scabious, with narrow pink streamers.
     The bridegroom was attended by his only brother, Mr. Cliff Shearer, as best man. The bride's mother was smartly attired in a modish frock of black silk lace with which she wore a black hat relieved with autumn tints She carried a dainty posy to tone with the shades in her hat.
     The bride groom's mother wore a heavy black crepe de chene robe with corselet of creme geogrette, finely pleated, a large black .crinoline hat and carried a posy of choice scarlet roses. During the signing of the register Miss
Dorine Shearer sang 'Because.' The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links, the bride groom's gift to the bride was a hand some two-tiered' silver cake stand.
     Mrs. Harvey Shearer travelled in a nude shade of geogrette trimmed with ' points of rich lace. She wore a large crinoline hat to tone smartly relieved with touches of vivid coloring and a beautiful white Tibetian fur and
champagne plaited shoes. A hand some two-toned bunch hand-bag and a smart sun-burst morocain dust-coat were carried.3
