     MR. and Mrs. T. F. Schwerdt, of Thebarton Fire Station, had a number of country people among their 40 guests this evening. They arranged a party to celebrate the twenty-first birthday of Edna Patricia Kearns, godmother to their daughter, Colleen Schwerdt.
     Patricia, daughter of Mrs. Ellen Kearns, of Wayville, and the late Mr. Patrick Kearns, wore cyclamen tulle over blue satin with an off-the-shoulder bodice.
     The hostess was in a black woollen frock with gleaming gold lame, and Mrs. Kearns chose a black crepe dinner gown trimmed with gold sequins.
