     Sarah Morris Oakley was born on 23 November 1833 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, daughter of David Dring Oakley and Annie Morris.¹

She was baptized on 13 September 1840 in St John of Jerusalem, Hackney, Middlesex, England.²

On 17 June 1852, Sarah, aged 18, married Benjamin Vickers, aged 17, in St Mathew Church in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England.^1,3

Sarah Morris Oakley emigrated on 1 October 1857 from in London, England, on board the "Stamboul", under Captain J. H. Smith. She was accompanied by her sister Annie Morris Oakley.

They arrived in Port Adelaide on 1st. February 1858.⁴

She died on Wednesday, 14 June 1911, aged 77 years, 6 months and 22 days, in Vinrace Street, Adelaide, South Australia.⁶
