On 26 September 1923, Eric, aged 21, married Mary Catherine Williams, aged 16, daughter of Thomas Allen Williams and Mary Elizabeth Harwood, in Boarding House in Sheringa, South Australia.3

He died on Tuesday, 8 August 1972, aged 70 years and 7 months, in Port Lincoln, South Australia. He had been living at Mount Hope.4

Eric was buried on 10 August 1972 in the Happy Valley Cemetery, Port Lincoln, South Australia, by Reverend P. Carr, in section 1, plot 35.5

Mary was widowed with the death of Eric Victor Cummings on 8 August 1972 in Port Lincoln, South Australia.5

She died on Saturday, 13 December 2003, aged 96 years, 6 months and 12 days, in Woodville West, South Australia,6 and she was cremated at Enfield Memorial Park, Clearview, South Australia.6

Mary was buried in the Cheltenham Cemetery, Cheltenham, South Australia, and her cremated remains were interred with her mother in section Q, drive D, path 8(9), site 250C.6
