Alfred George Bradock was born on 2 June 1904 in Crystal Brook, South Australia, son of William Edwin Bradock and Ellen Theresa McGowan.On 14 August 1922, Alfred, aged 18, married Esther Florence Jolly, aged 16, daughter of Richard Francis Jolly and Christina Johnston, in Methodist Manse in Gladstone, South Australia.1
On 11 March 1940 Alfred began his millitary service when he enlisted in the Australian Army in Port Pirie, South Australia.His Service Number was SX2080. He was discharged on 3 April, 1940 with the rank of Private, in the 2nd AIF.2
He died on Saturday, 26 February 1983, aged 78 years, 8 months and 24 days, in Port Pirie, South Australia.3

Lewis Henry Bradock was born about 1865, son of Edwin Bradock and Minna Hillegeist.On 27 March 1911, Lewis, married Ada Augusta Victoria Louisa Cox, aged 44, daughter of Edward Cox, in the Registry Office in Clare, South Australia. The witnesses were Henry Oxlade and Ada Augusta Bradock.1

Mr. Lewis Henry Bradock, of 61 Three Chain Road, Solomontown, who died at Pirie Hospital on Friday, had been a resident of Pirie since 1911. He would have been 71 years of age in September.
Mr. Bradock was born on a station about 40 miles north-east of Hawker. He was of a roving disposition and travelled about a good deal before settling in Pirie. Among the places he visited was White Cliffs, where he was employed on the opal fields.
When he came to Pirie he obtained employment at the Smelters. He was first engaged in the D. and L. plant and afterward worked in various departments. About three years ago he retired, and had since lived a quiet life. He had been a member of the Australian Workers' Union and of the Old-Age and Invalid Pensioners' Association.
Good-hearted Man
Mr Bradock was ever a willing helper in the name of charity, and he earned the name of being a good-hearted man.
His wife died last April. Mr. Bradock was not enjoying the best of health at the time. He was adnitted to hospital soon afterward. Mr. and Mrs. Bradock had been married 24 years.
There are no children. Brothers and sisters are:- Messrs. C. (Renmark), J. (Crystal Brook), Arthur (Crystal Brook), and W. E, Bradock (Pirie West), and Mesdameds C. Talbot (Crystal Brook) and J. Lynch (Broken Hill).
A service was held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E. Hubert, of Alpha terrace, Solomontown. The funeral afterward left for Pirie Cemetery. Rev. D. P. Richards officiated.5
