Mr. John Edwards was M.C., and in a happy speech expressed the feelings of all present in wishing the guest every happiness in the future. Miss Colebatch suitably responded and heartily thanked all present for the splendid evening, and the many useful and handsome presents received.
Mr. Gordon Blight, captain of the ping pong club, in presenting Miss Colebatch with a crystal vase on behalf of the club, expressed their high appreciation of the services rendered, mentioning that she was the founder of the club and had been joint secretary since its inception. Music was supplied by Mrs. T. Bentley and Mr. J. Nolan, and elocutionary items by Miss Norma Choat. A splendid home-made supper was provided.1
Kitchen Evening At Wistow
On Thursday evening the residents of Wistow gave a kitchen evening to Miss Edna Colebatch, who is shortly to be married to Mr. Harry Yates. A large crowd assembled, and a pleasant evening was spent.
