On 4 July 1894, Frank, aged 21, married Emily Gertrude Richards, aged 16, in Baptist Church in Mount Barker, South Australia.2

BUGLE. RANGES; June 13:-On Thursday Mr. Frank Shepley was splitting wood when the axe slipped and cut through to the bone on the instep of one of his feet. He was at once driven about 20 miles to Mount Barker, and was attended to by Dr. Scott. Considerable loss of blood occurred, and it is feared that a sinew has been severed. The patient was detained in Mount Barker, and is now progressing satisfactorily.3


On 7 August 1953 Frank and Emily were given a party to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.3 He died on Wednesday, 11 January 1961, aged 88 years, 6 months and 3 days, in Port Pirie, South Australia.4

Frank was buried in the Port Pirie Cemetery, Port Pirie, South Australia.
