     Thomas Chancellor was born about 1837.1

About 1855, Thomas, married Agnes Craig, probably in in Scotland.1

Thomas Chancellor and Agnes Craig emigrated, with their daughters Eliza and Jane, on 30 April 1859 from Liverpool, Lancashire, England, arriving in Port Adelaide on 9th August 1859.1

On 17 December 1864 he was a witness in an inquest into the death of a man who's badly decomposed body was found on the Bundaleer Run (ed. a station near Jamestown). See "South Australian Register", 19 December 1864.2

An entry appeared in the "Personal" column of the New Zealand "Colonist" newspaper of 23rd November 1907
At St. Mary's Anglican Church, Waikupurau, Hawke's Bay, on the 14th inst., Mr David Bawden, second son of Mr Hugh Bawden, Port Pirie, was married to Miss Ellen May Gibbs, third daughter of Mr Joseph Gibbs, of "Southdowns", Wakefield, Nelson. The Rev. W. F. Martin officiated, and the bride was given away by Mr Maleneur, of Kaikora. Mr and Mrs Bawden's future home will be at Kaikora North.1


She died in 1957, in New Zealand.2
