From the "Chronicle", March 29th 1924
The house of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Faggotter, at Peterborough, was the scene of a wedding on Saturday. The contracting parties were Mr Elliot Price, of Peteterborough, and Miss Madge McMurtrie, Port Germein.
A wedding arch was erected by lady friends of the bride. It was decorated with artiilcial flowers, and in the centre a large bell was suspended, under which the happy couple stood.
The bride looked charming in an exquisite gown of morocain and georgette festooned with orange blossom, and a beautiful veil. The brideamaids were Miss Jean McMurtrie (sister of the bride), who wore a frock of salmon pink satin grenadine, and Miss Elsie Price (sister of the bridegroom) gowned in salmon pink crepe de chene. Both wore caps to match.
The best man was Mr. Les Boscence, and the groomsman Mr. H. R. McMurtrie.
About 40 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, where Pastor Kenner (officiating minister) proposed the health of bride and bridegroom. Dancing, singting, and music followed.3
