On 3 September 1955, Christine, married Noel Kendall Wheaton, aged 28, son of Thomas Edward Wheaton and Ida Emily Cook, in St Peters College in St Peters, South Australia.1

She died on Monday, 25 January 1988, in Fulham, South Australia.1,2

Christine was buried on 29 January 1998 in the Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, in Acacia E section, Path 18, Grave 60A.2

Life Events

     Constance Mabel Holmes was born on 11 December 1906 in Tickera, South Australia, daughter of Charles Percival Holmes and Mabel Maud Excell.1

On 4 November 1931, Constance, aged 24, married Percy Pascoe Cook, aged 36, son of Henry James Cook and Josephine Frances Cummings, in the Men's Hut on the home farm in Mount Damper, South Australia.

13 November 1931: Mount Damper:- A very pretty wedding took place at The Breezer, Mount Damper, when Constance M., elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Holmes, and Mr. Percy P Cook were married, the Rev WA Schofield, of Cummins officiated. Mrs. McKenzie sang "Because". The bridesmaids were Miss T. Holmes and Miss RE Fraser and they wore frocks of blue glace silk with hats and shoes en suite, the flower girls were little Josephine North and Isobel Fraser. The bridegroom was attended by Mr W Holmes with Mr C Best as groomsman.2


Constance and Percy appeared on the 1941 electoral roll for the Commonwealth Electoral District of Hundred of Travers. He was a farmer and she was engaged in home duties, and they were living in Mount Damper, South Australia.3

On 3 February 1941 Constance Mabel Holmes was a witness at the Marriage of Josephine Annie North and Raymond Franklin Edmonds in the residence of G H B North, Mount Damper, South Australia.4 She died on Wednesday, 24 May 1978, aged 71 years, 5 months and 13 days, in Wudinna, South Australia.5

Constance was buried on 27 May 1978 in the the Wudinna Cemetery, Wudinna, South Australia.6
