WESTON-CUMMINGS

A pretty wedding took place in St. John's Church. Sheringa on Saturday afternoon. November 28, when Leo Francis (Way) second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Leo Cummings, of Sheringa, and Phyllis (Mae), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Weston, of Minnipa, were married. Rev. S. H. Davies officiated and Mrs. C. Winstanley presided at the organ.
The bride, who entered the artistically decorated church on the arm of her father while the congregation sang 'The voice that breathed o'er Eden,' looked charming in a full flared, ankle length frock of white crepe-de-chene. The bodice was smocked to the skirt, which was worked with colored butterflies.
The veil of Brussels net was arranged cap-wise with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and fern. The bride was attended by the bride groom's sister. Miss Avis Cummings, who looked sweet in an ivory silk crepe satin full-flared ankle length frock with three tiny frills over the hips. A lemon satin bandeau was worn and a bouquet of pink carnations and fern was carried.
Mr. David Cummings, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
On leaving the church Douglas Cummings hung a horse-shoe on the bride's arm.
The bride's mother was frocked in a fawn stockinette jumper suit with hat, shoes and stockings to match.
The bridegroom's' mother wore navy French crepe-de-chene, with fawn trim mings, and a hat, shoes and stockings to suit.
The bride's travelling frock was of figured crepe de-chene.
The bride and bridegroom left for their home at Minnipa the same even ing.3
She died on Monday, 10 January 1994, aged 80 years and 7 days, in Port Lincoln, South Australia.4
