The Trafalgar was a barque, of 717 tons. It left Gravesend, via Plymouth, on 16 December 1849, under Captain George Richardson.There were 290 emigrants on board and they arrived in Port Adelaide, South Australia, on 30th March 1850.
Among the passengers were ancestors James Haines and his wife Hannah (nee Flower) and their children Mary, Sarah, Henry, Ruth, George, Elizabeth and Catherine.
