Mr. Percy Wesley LeCornu, of First avenue. South Payneham. who died recently, was the managing partner of Messrs. B. Wallis & Co., electroplaters, of Flinders street, city.
The eldest son of Mr. and Mrs P. W. Le Cornu, of Coorara avenue. South Payneham, he was born on December 27, 1888. He began work with Mr. Benbow Wallis, and in 1918 was made managing partner of the firm. Mr. Le Cornu was interested in various sporting activities, and at the time of his death, was vice-president of the Payneham Football Club, vice-president of the Payneham Cycling Club, and a member of the council of the SA. League of Wheelmen. He was a member of the Payneham Masonic Lodge, Tranmere Bowling Club, the Norwood Club, and S.A. Cycle Traders' Association. Some years ago he was a playing member of the Payneham Band, and for a period was its secretary as well.
He leaves a widow, formerly Miss Louisa Emma Sallis. and six children - Gordon Wesley (Sydney), Leslie Roy (Burnside), Doris (Mrs. Keith Reynolds, Dulwich), Ronald Edward, Stanley Harold, and Mavis Louisa (Payneham South). Messrs. V. R. and H. W. LeCornu are his brothers.3
