     Ronald Leslie Leaver was born on 4 March 1914 in North Kensington, South Australia.1,2

On 17 April 1937, Ronald, aged 23, married Adela Pearl Ellis, aged 21, daughter of Arthur Ernest Ellis and Ruby Stella Myrtle Faggotter, in Methodist Church in Kent Town, South Australia.1

Ronald began military service on 22 January 1942 in Adelaide, South Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Army. His service number was SX16618. He was discharged on 31st August 1945, with the rank of Private in 32 FD Security SEC.3

He died on Sunday, 31 August 1997, aged 83 years, 5 months and 27 days, in Woodville Park, South Australia,1 and he was cremated at Enfield Memorial Park, Clearview, South Australia.4 And a memorial to Ron can be found and a memorial can be found in the Eastern Niche Wall, RSL section, wall/row GJ, site 14.4
