The death occurred in the Royal Adelaide Hospital at 3 a.m. today of Mrs. Winifred Elsie Mowbray, 28, of Ormonde avenue, Edwardstown East. She was among those injured in the level crossing smash at Edwardstown last Saturday when a train collided with a motor car.
Mrs. Mowbray's husband, Colin Clifford Mowbray, 32, and 12 month-old baby, Peter, were killed in the crash. The only survivor of the family is nine-year-old John who is progressing satisfactorily. He sustained a lacerated leg and severe shock.
Two other occupants of the car, Mrs. Ernstine Mark and her seven year-old son, escaped with a severe shaking.
An inquest Into the accident will be held by the Acting City Coroner (Mr. Ziesing) at 2.15 p.m on Friday.3
