Life Events
Norman Adkins was born about 1871 in Keyneton, Victoria, Australia
On 15 May 1918, Norman, married Rose Ellen McEvoy, aged 35, daughter of Joseph Michael McEvoy and Eliza Anne Bridget Case, at the residence of the bride's parents, "Kildalton" near Cungena, South Australia

He died on Monday, 13 May 1929, in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia

From the "Barrier Miner, 8 November 1932
Mr. Norman Adkins, a retired grazier, who resided with his wife at 184 Zebina-street, North Broken Hill, died suddenly at his residence this morning.
At 8 o'clock last night Mr. Adkins retired to bed and rose at 7 a.m. this morning in his usual health. At about 10.15 a.m. he left the house to go to an outhouse. About a quarter of an hour later his wife noticed him lying face down in the outhouse. She rushed down and found him in an unconscious condition. She obtained the assistance of some neighbors who summoned Dr. Dobbyn, but death had taken place before his arrival.
The late Mr. Adkins had complained for years past of pains in his chest and at intervals had received attention from Broken Hill doctors. The matter was reported to Mr. J A. Harris. J.P., but it is understood that Dr. Dobbyn will give a certificate that death was due to natural causes, probably heart failure, and that an inquest will be deemed unnecessary.
The late Mr. Adkins came here about four years ago. He was previously a farmer of Streaky Bay, on the west coast of South Australia, and on arrival here put money into property. At the time of his death he owned about 30 or 40 properties in this district.3
