From the "Southern Cross", 23 May 1952     THE marriage of Jean, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Johnson, of Adelaide, late of Kadina, to Ronald, youngest son of Mrs. A. D. McEvoy, of Hilton, and the late Mr. McEvoy, was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Hindmarsh, on Saturday, March 29. Fr. Church officiated.
     The bride, who entered the church on her father's arm, wore a gown of white silk tulle, embroidered with lace medallions outlined in gold lame. Her fingertip veil was held with a halo of pearls.
     Blue and lemon lace frocks, and matching pendants (gifts of the groom) were worn by the bridesmaids—Joan, the twin sister of the bride, and her cousin, Kathleen Johnson.
     The bridegroom was attended by his cousin, Brian Kelly, and Chris McDonald.
     The bride's mother wore a chartreuse frock, with mauve accessories, and the bridegroom's mother wore a frock of junior navy, with matching accessories, with touches of pale pink.
     After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Parish Hall, where the usual toasts were honored. Mr. Laurie Maidment was M.C.
     For travelling, the bride chose a powder-blue suit, with matching hat and burgundy accessories. The honeymoon was spent at Mount Gambier.³
