DURING the inclement weather, experienced at the weekend, a bolt of lightning struck and killed a young Mylor farmer (Glen Blaser), while he was working on his father's property. The unfortunate man was found by his brother (Noel), who later said he had seen flames in the paddock.
The impact is thought to have lifted Glen and thrown him for a distance of several feet. One boot was blown off and his clothes were almost completely destroyed. He is survived by his wife and one child.
Sgt. A. C. Collins of Mount Barker, prepared a report for the local Coroner, Mr. R. C. P. Darley, who deemed an inquest unnecessary.1
