George Gorman was born about March 1884 in Bedminster, Somerset, England, son of William Gorman and Catherine Pearson.1About December 1911, George, married Lily Louisa Chiddy, in Bristol, Bristol, England.2,1

George began military service on 30 May 1915. In his enlistment records he is described as 5 ft 71/2 in tall, weight 146lbs, "slight hammertoes left foot", "injuries to left knee 1912."
He was an Insurance Agent, according to his enlistment papers.2
He died on Friday, 4 May 1917, in France Killed in Action WW1.1
George was buried in the Tank Cemetery, Guemappe, Pas de Calais, France.3
