David James Harvey was born on 12 October 1921 in Wilmington, South Australia, son of William John Harvey and Ethel May Barrass.1On 16 March 1943 David enlisted in the Australian Army in Woodside, South Australia, service number SX28936.2
He died on Thursday, 9 September 1943, aged 21 years, 10 months and 28 days, in New Guinea from war injuries.3
David was buried in the Port Moresby (Bomana) War Cemetery, Port Moresby, New Guinea.4
