     Bernard Francis Cunningham was born on 26 November 1921 in Bute, South Australia, son of Leo Patrick Cunningham and Ruby Margrett Logan.1

On 15 November 1945, Bernard, aged 23, announced his engagement to Maureen Daphne Hannagan, aged 19, daughter of Andrew James Hannagan and Eileen Mary Landers. The engagement notice was in "The Advertiser.2

On 1 August 1946, Bernard, aged 24, married Maureen Daphne Hannagan, aged 20, daughter of Andrew James Hannagan and Eileen Mary Landers, in St Kilian's Catholic Church in Caltowie, South Australia.

Bernard, married Betty Christine Larkin.3

He died on Friday, 18 March 2005, aged 83 years, 3 months and 20 days, in John Flynn Hospital, Tugun, Queensland, Australia,3 and he was cremated at Queensland, Australia, on 24 March 2005.3

A memorial to Bernard can be found at Wallaroo Cemetery, Wallaroo, South Australia, with his parents, in the Catholic section, plot 905.4,5,3
