He died on Saturday, 23 June 1956, aged 69 years, 8 months and 29 days, in Port Lincoln Hospital, Port Lincoln, South Australia, of a coronary occlusion, essential hypertension & acute retention.
Before he was hospitalized he lived at Warrachie, SA.3,4
