     Albert Edward Hurrell was born on 18 August 1917 in Streaky Bay, South Australia, son of William James Hurrell and Hannah Starkey.1

Albert began military service on 8 June 1940 in Adelaide, South Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Army. His service number was SX4673. When he was discharged on 13th November 1944, he was a Signal,an with Base Area Signals 2 AIF.2

He died on Sunday, 22 April 1984, aged 66 years, 8 months and 4 days.

William and Janet Starkey donated the land for the Conglima Cemetery. Cecil was one of eleven children. Born - 24.06.1914 - 25.08.1914 (First Burial at Conglima Cemetery). His sister Hazel M.A. McNab has donated funds for the erection of a Niche Wall at the Conglima Cemetery, which was erected in 2004. Another brother, Cyril Cefus Hurrell organised the donation on behalf of his sister Hazel, who is in a nursing home in Adelaide, aged 94 years old as at 24.12.2004.

He died on Friday, 25 June 1999, aged 76 years, 8 months and 13 days.

William Adolphus Heinz
