     William Theodore Hearne was born on 18 February 1909 in Northam, Western Australia, son of Theodore Handel Mendelsshon Hearn and Amy Laura Corbett.1

In 1933, William, married Ivy Ellen Jones, in Coolgardie district in Western Australia.1

William began military service on 20 July 1942 in Perth, Western Australia, when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force. His service number was 81368. He was discharged on 1st April 1946, with the rank of Leading Aircraftman with 77 Operational Base Unit.2

He died on Tuesday, 16 April 1985, aged 76 years, 1 month and 29 days, in Ferndale, Western Australia.3

William was buried in the Karrakatta Cemetery, Karrakatta, Western Australia, in the Anglican area, WG section, grave 0175.3
