     Victor Devlin was born on 25 June 1912 in Adelaide, South Australia, son of James Burnard Devlin and Mary Louisa Hartwig.

On 20 October 1945, Victor, aged 33, married Hazel Gladys Cannell, aged 32, daughter of Stephen James Milton Cannell and Mary Ann King, in Woodville, South Australia.

He died on Tuesday, 22 November 1983, aged 71 years, 4 months and 28 days, in North Adelaide, South Australia.

A memorial to Victor can be found at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, in the RSL Walls W 116 E005.2
