     Jean May Degenhardt was born on 8 May 1927 in Watervale, South Australia, daughter of Henry James Degenhardt and Louisa Ellinor Smith.1

On 31 March 1945, Jean, aged 17, married Ronald Brian Couzner, aged 18, son of Percival Cyril Couzner and Violet Doris Ham.1

She died on Saturday, 7 December 2013, aged 86 years, 6 months and 29 days, in South Australia.2

Jean was buried on 11 December 2013 in the Crystal Brook Cemetery, Crystal Brook, South Australia.2
