     Roydon Frederic Dorrington was born on 30 November 1906 in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, England, son of Frederic John Dorrington.2

On 27 July 1931, Roydon, aged 24, married Leila Winstanley, aged 27, daughter of Frederick Joseph Winstanley and Josephine Frances Cummings, in the residence of Frederick Winstanley in Mount Damper, South Australia.1

He died on Tuesday, 15 October 1991, aged 84 years, 10 months and 15 days, in South Australia.
