     Ernest Mann was born about 1884 in North Tawton, Devon, England, son of John Mann and Rebecca Gowman.1

He was a tailor's assistant.1

He died when missing in action in the Battle of the Somme. Officially declared dead on 11 June, on 27 May 1918 in France.1

Ernest was buried in the Soissons Cemetery, Soissons, Aisne, France.2

Life Events

     Jessie Satchell was born on 10 June 1837 in Temple Cloud, Somerset, England, son of Thomas Satchell and Mary Gane.1

Jessie Satchell emigrated on 3 June 1854 from in Plymouth, Devon, England, on board the "Lady Jane".together with his mother, Jane and sister, Jessie, age 17. They arrived in Sydney on 29th. September, 1854.

On 27 January 1859, Jessie, aged 21, married Helen Brown, aged 21, in Portland, Victoria, Australia.1

He Prior to his death he was an hotelkeeper.1

He died in 1908, aged 70 years, in Myamyn, Victoria, Australia.1

Jessie was buried in the Heywood Cemetery, Heywood, Victoria, Australia.1
