     Edwin James White was born on 21 September 1919 in Quorn, South Australia, son of Edwin James Laver White and Margaret Helen Thomas.1

Edwin began military service on 11 August 1943 in Wayville, South Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Army. His service number was SX33096. He was discharged on 33nd August 1946, with the rank of Sapper with 2/4 Pioneer Battalion.2

On 1 October 1949, Edwin, aged 30, married Margaret Ruby Howell, aged 22, daughter of Archibald Howell and Eileen Mary Johnson, in Two Wells, South Australia.3

He died on Thursday, 22 April 1993, aged 73 years, 7 months and 1 day, in Minnipa, South Australia.1

Edwin was buried on 27 April 1993 in the Stirling North Garden Cemetery, Stirling North, South Australia, Block U, Grave 2.4
