     Hurtle Ashby Joseph Bott was born on 4 July 1909 in Callington, South Australia.2

On 5 July 1943 Hurtle began his millitary service when he enlisted in the Australian Army in Kapooka, New South Wales, Australia. His Service Number was SX31738. He was discharged on 7 February 1946 with the rank of Private, in the 2nd Australian Landing Ship Det.3,4

He died on Sunday, 24 September 1972, aged 63 years, 2 months and 20 days, in Elizabeth Vale, South Australia.5

     Norman Allen Plew was born on 21 June 1919 in Tumby Bay, South Australia, son of William Charles Plew and Ella May Provis.1

Norman began military service on 6 May 1942 in Wayville, South Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Army. His service number was SX18456. When he was discharged on 13th May 1946, he was a Private with 13 Australian Advanced Ammunition Depot.3

He died on Saturday, 1 June 1968, aged 48 years, 11 months and 11 days, in Daw Park, South Australia, Prior to his illness he had been living in Blair Athol.1

Norman was cremated on 3 June 1968 in the Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, and his remains interred in East area, Rose Bed E27, Position 008.4
