The "Dumfries" was a ship of 468 tons, Captained by Richard Thompson, arriving in Port Adelaide from London, on 13th October 1839.
The one person on board (that I know of) in our family tree is Alfred Perry There was also a Thomas Perry (born 1801) on board, who travelled in a cabin, but I'm not sure if there is a connection.
