He died on Saturday, 5 October 1968, aged 78 years and 3 days, in Prospect, South Australia,3 and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, on 7 October 1968.4

Life Events

     John Rosser was born on 13 January 1923 in Prospect, South Australia, son of Edres Haines Rosser and Elenore Ernstina Welk.1

John began military service on 8 October 1942 in Adelaide, South Australia, when he joined the Royal Australian Air Force. His service number was 116254. At the time of his discharge, on 28th March 1946, his rank was Leading Aircraftman at Air Force Headquarters.2

On 9 May 1946, John, aged 23, and Aileen, aged 21, announced their engagement in "The Advertiser."3

About 1947, John, married Aileen Delia Grayson, in South Australia.3

He died on Sunday, 6 March 2011, aged 88 years, 1 month and 21 days, in Hope Valley, South Australia,4 and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia,4 and his cremated remains were buried on 18 May 2011 in the Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, in Acacia D section, path DN, grave 561, with his wife and her parents.4

A memorial to John and Aileen can be found at Kapunda Cemetery, Kapunda, South Australia.
