On 15 January 1883 William was a witness at the Marriage of William Thomas Alchin and Annie Margaret Talbot in Wirrabara, South Australia.4

On 11 March 1930, on his wife's death certificate his occupation is given as "gardener."2

He died on Wednesday, 14 August 1940, aged 82 years, in Wirrabara, South Australia, of cardiac failure & auricullar fibrilation.5,2
