He died on Tuesday, 5 January 2010, aged 16 years, 1 month and 10 days, when he accidently fell from the top of the 45 metre cliffs to the rocks below, at the Back Beach of Venus Bay, South Australia.1

     Sarah Jane Oxlade was born about 1847 in Buckinghamshire, England, daughter of Hector Oxlade and Ellen Finch.

Sarah Jane Oxlade emigrated from England, bound for Australia, leaving Plymouth on 21 August 1850at 6p.m. on board "Joseph Soames", accompanied by her father Henry, mother Helen and her sisters Ann and Elizabeth. Sarah accmpanied her parents when they emigrated to South Australia on 24 August 1850.1

On 2 May 1865 he married John Henry Wilkey, son of Charles Richard Wilkey and Rachel Way, in All Saints Church, Hindmarsh, South Australia. Witnesses were Edward Still and Julia Wilkey.
From "Register" personal notes: - On the 2nd May, at the All Saints Church, Hindmarsh, by the Reverend Mr. Green, John Henry, third son of Mr. Charles Wilkey, farmer, Hope Valley, to Sarah Jane, third daughter of Mr. H. Oxlade, Bowden.2

On 15 May 1865 from "Register" personal notes: - On the 2nd May at the All Saints Church, Hindmarsh, by the Reverend Mr. Green, John Henry, third son of Mr. Charles Wilkey, farmer, Hope Valley, to Sarah Jane, third daughter of Mr. H. Oxlade, Bowden.2

In 1885 she resided in Modbury, South Australia.3

She died on Sunday, 1 February 1885, in the Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, South Australia.
