     Herbert Henry Haines was born on 17 May 1919 in Port Pirie West, South Australia, son of Henry Thomas Haines and Ada Evelyn King.1

On 27 April 1940 Herbert enlisted in the Royal Australian Airforce, service number 26358. He was discharged on 3rd December 1945, with the rank of Leading Aircraftman in 93 squadron in Adelaide, South Australia.2

He died on Monday, 18 August 2008, aged 89 years, 3 months and 1 day, in North Plympton, South Australia,3 and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia.4

     Ronald Thomas Grafton Haines was born on 30 March 1921 in Port Pirie, South Australia, son of Henry Thomas Haines and Ada Evelyn King.1

On 22 April 1940 Ronald enlisted in the Royal Australian Airforce, service number 26301. He was discharged on 20th October 1941, with the rank on Leading Aircraftman with the 4 School of Technical Training in Adelaide, South Australia.2 and on 18 April 1943 in Atherton, Queensland, Australia, he joined the Australian Army, service number WX36541. He was discharged on 18th June 1946 as a private in the 13 PL 2/1 Australian Guard Regiment.2

He died on Saturday, 23 November 2002, aged 81 years, 7 months and 24 days, in South Australia, He had been living in Gilles Plains.3

Ronald was buried in the Enfield Memorial Park, Browning Street, Clearview, South Australia, in the Catholic section, Row BY, plot 40.3
