     Frank Edward Porter was born on 5 July 1896 in Dublin, South Australia, son of Jonathon Porter and Elizabeth Jane Carslake.1,2

Frank began military service on 12 December 1914 in Oaklands, South Australia, when he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force. His number was 761. He served in the Middle East and on the Gallipoli Pensula with the 9th Light Horse. He returned to Australia aboard the "Oxfordshire", disembarking on 10th August 1919.3

On 25 September 1920, Frank, aged 24, married Olive Lydia North, aged 29, daughter of Hero Clair North and Rosina Ann Boylan, in Manresa House in Norwood, South Australia.1

He died on Sunday, 25 April 1937, aged 40 years, 9 months and 20 days, in Riverton, South Australia, from a rifle bullet through the brain when his rifle accidentally went off and killed him. Prior to his death he had been living at Hamley Bridge.4

Frank was buried on 27 April 1937 in the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide, South Australia.5

On 3 January 1925, Eric, aged 23, married Mary Ellen North, aged 23, daughter of Hero Clair North and Rosina Ann Boylan, in St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Port Lincoln, South Australia. The witnesses were James and Cecilia North, brother and sister of the bride.

     A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Port Lincoln Catholic Church on Saturday, January 3, when Mary, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. North, of Colton, was married to Eric, only son of Mr. C. Kelly, of Wasleys. The church had been prettily decorated. The bride was daintily gowned in an ivory marocain frock, with wreath and veil. Miss Celia North (sister), as bridesmaid, was frocked in lemon marocain with a georgette hat to match. Mr. Jim North was best man. Mr. North gave the bride away. Afterwards he entertained the happy couple and their friends at breakfast.
     The newly-married couple left by the Wandana for their honeymoon midst showers of confetti.1


He died on Tuesday, 13 January 1953, aged 51 years, 5 months and 22 days, in Adelaide, South Australia. Before being haspitalised he was living in Gilles Plains.4

Eric Cecil William Kelly was buried in Cheltenham Cemetery, Cheltenham, South Australia.5
