On 3 July 1839 Alexander Disher emigrated from Greenock, Scotland, on board the "Palmyra", which was making her maiden voyage. He arrived in Port Adelaide on 29th October, 1939.1,2

On 21 October 1854, Alexander, married Eliza Wilson, in res of Rev John Anderson in Strathalbyn, South Australia.3

He died on Monday, 21 January 1867, in Native Valley, near Nairne, South Australia.4
