On 20 September 1916, Marguerite, aged 31, married Harry Haines, aged 45, son of George Haines and Johanna Miriam Bawden, the residence of H. J. Aiken in Booleroo Whim, South Australia. Witnesses were W. R. W. Graham, farmer of Brinkworth, a cousin of the bride, and the bride's sister Ruth Aiken, of Booleroo Whim.1

She died on Tuesday, 5 October 1948, aged 63 years, 10 months and 12 days, in the Booleroo Centre Hospital, Booleroo Centre, South Australia, of cardiac failure, paralysis agitans. Her last place of residence was Arwakurra.2

Marguerite was buried on 6 October 1948 in the Booleroo Centre cemetery, Booleroo Centre, South Australia, by Rev Davies, in Row 8 northern section Plot#: 674.3
