He died on Friday, 31 July 1970, aged 80 years, 1 month and 20 days, in North Adelaide, South Australia, Prior to his illness he had been living in Blair Athol2 and he was cremated at Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, South Australia, on 1 August 1970.3

She died on Sunday, 2 November 1952, aged 64 years, 6 months and 4 days, in Daw Park, South Australia, Prior to her becoming ill she had been living in Hyde Park.2

     Clarice Cowled was born on 10 December 1877 in Redhill, South Australia, daughter of Humphrey David Cowled and Harriet Mary Badcock.1

On 27 September 1905, Clarice, aged 27, married William Martin Haines, aged 30, son of George Haines and Johanna Miriam Bawden, in the residence of H.D. Cowled in Nonowie, District of Flinders, South Australia. The witnesses were Kenneth William Gwynne and Olive Vera Cowled.2

She died on Sunday, 18 January 1925, aged 47 years, 1 month and 8 days, in Cowell, South Australia.3

Clarice was buried on 19 January 1925 in the Cowell Cemetery, Cowell, South Australia, by Reverend A.D. McCutcheon.4

     Humphrey David Cowled was born on 29 November 1842.1

On 6 February 1866, Humphrey, aged 23, married Harriet Mary Badcock, in BC Chapel in Auburn, South Australia.1

     Mr. Humphrey David Cowled, who now lives at Payneham road. St. Peters, was 90 years old on November 29. Mr. Cowled, who came to South Australia in tbe Lady Emma in 1837. assisted to open up many districts of the State. He first settled at Gawler River, and when 16 went to the diggings at Snowy Blver, in Victoria.
     Later be was in tbe Umberatana, Leigh's Creek, district, and then he settled at Watervale, Hoyleton, Merriton, River Broughton (near Pirie). and Whyalla. He lived in retirement there for a time, but later went to Cowell. Four years ago he came to live with his daughter, Mrs. E. H. Styles, at St. Peters. Mr. Cowled was one or the first stewards of the Crystal Brook show.
     He married Miss Mary Badcock, of Watervale, who died last year. There were thirteen children — nine daugh ters and four sons, and the sons and five daughters are still living. There are also 48 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.2


He died on Wednesday, 13 November 1935, aged 92 years, 11 months and 15 days, in Firle, South Australia.3

On 30 September 1908, George, aged 25, married Feodore Victoria Haines, aged 21, daughter of George Haines and Johanna Miriam Bawden, in St Luke's Church in Adelaide, South Australia. Witnesses were her sister Cecelia (home duties) and her father, George Haines (retired) both living in North Terrace, Adelaide.2

In 1930 George and Feodore appeared on the electoral roll for The Commonwealth Electoral District of Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia.3

He died on Thursday, 15 December 1966, aged 83 years, 8 months and 24 days, in Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia.4

George was buried in the Wesleyan section, Wentworth Cemetery, Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia.
